It is often looked on as an event that forged the definition of being Australian. This website seeks to enable students to look closely at the men who represented Australia in this campaign. The men sent to represent Australia at Gallipoli were ordinary men, yet for many reasons their experiences of the campaign have come to be viewed by many as extraordinary. Who were these men? What were their experiences?  How did they respond to their experiences?  These are the questions this website will help answer.

This website is education based and suitable for school students. Yet, it is available for all who wish to gain a greater insight into the experiences of Australians at Gallipoli.  Search the pages and be transported back to 1915.
